Surgery

Are you feeling anxious about your pet’s upcoming surgery?

At Arroyo Veterinary Clinic, we recognize that while surgery is a part of our everyday routine, it’s not something you or your pet are used to. Because of this, you’re probably struggling with a number of questions and concerns. Will the procedure be safe? Will my pet be uncomfortable? What should I expect?

We’re here to provide you with the answers you need to feel confident trusting us with your companion’s surgical care needs. We have years of experience performing both routine and advanced procedures. More importantly, we work hard to make sure every surgery is carried out with the safety and comfort of our patients in mind. Let us put your worries to rest with our exceptional surgical care services.

Pre-Surgical Appointment

Prior to your pet’s surgery, we will discuss with you why we believe a particular procedure is necessary and what you should expect during the process. We’ll take the time to answer any questions you may have so that you feel comfortable that you are making the right choice for your pet. We will also use this appointment to screen your companion for potential risks and to develop the safest, most effective pain management plan.

During Surgery

Our experienced doctors are capable of performing a number of safe surgical procedures for your dog or cat. Our surgical suite is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including cutting edge monitoring technology to manage your pet’s wellbeing. During surgery, the vet will work with great precision and care. Meanwhile, our support staff will keep a close eye on your companion’s vital signs and pain control.

Some of the surgeries we perform include:

  • Spay/Neuter
  • Soft Tissue
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Procedures
  • Oral/Dental Surgery
  • Emergency Procedures

We also have Board-Certified Surgeons available to assist with more advanced procedures.

Post-Surgical Care

After surgery, your pet will be moved to our intensive care unit and continuously monitored. It’s important to us that your pet’s recovery process begins on a positive note, and we’ll do everything we can to ensure this. We will notify you of when you can come retrieve your pet, and provide you with detailed information on the proper care once he or she returns home.

Please call us if you have questions. We would be more than happy to assist with all of your pet’s surgical care needs.
