Diagnostics

Are you concerned that your pet may be sick or injured?

When your pet isn’t feeling well, you want answers and you want them fast. At Arroyo Veterinary Clinic, we strive to remain on top of the health of our patients, providing timely and accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. We leverage a number of diagnostic tools and technologies to help us achieve this goal. Examining your pet from the inside, we are able to quickly identify and diagnose injuries and ailments to determine the best course of treatment.

At Arroyo Veterinary Clinic, we have a number of sophisticated diagnostic tools that we use to obtain detailed information about your dog or cat’s condition. This can include laboratory testing as well as diagnostic imaging. In the rare instance that we are unable to treat your pet, we enjoy good working relationships with specialty and referral practices. This ensures that your companion always receives the best care available.

Radiology

Our clinic is equipped with an advanced digital x-ray machine that allows us to capture an image in just 6 seconds. Because we are able to view x-rays almost immediately, we can diagnose and treat your pet in a timelier manner. Digital radiology is also safer for your pet because it requires far less radiation. When needed, we have a panel of Board Certified Radiologists who are available for expert consultations.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging helps us diagnose problems that would otherwise be very difficult, if not impossible, to find. Ultrasound is a non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology that uses sound waves to painlessly examine the internal organs. We have our own Board Certified Radiologist who performs ultrasound procedures at our clinic. This means your pet does not have to go to an unfamiliar place to receive care.

In-House Laboratory

Our hospital features a basic in-house laboratory which allows us to gather test results quickly.  We can run point-of-care blood work, urinalysis and fecal testing. In case of emergencies we are able to perform the tests necessary to help with quick diagnosis and initiation of appropriate treatment. We also have the ability to consult with a team of internists and pathologists as needed.

If your companion hasn’t been feeling quite up to par lately, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and take the steps necessary to get your special friend back on the path to good health.
